Our philosophy is to keep horses as close to their natural environment as is possible. This includes the way they live in the paddocks, rugging and their diet.

Often, as over protective mothers, we do things for our horses that is not in their best interests. In the words of a very famous trainer: “Horses were meant to be Horses”. (Franz Mairinger).

Aside from having their own paddock, horses at Yarramalong are fed 3 - 4 times daily according to a diet worked out for the individual needs of each horse. We believe that it is better to feed the horse more often with smaller meals. All our diets are worked out in consultation with John Kohnke and Sydney University Vet Clinic.

My background in dressage is over 40 yrs experience and training with some of the best in the world. Primarily, my mother, who is a NCAS Level 3 Dressage Coach and was the first National Dressage Champion in Australia. Earlier on, also trained with J Neckermann - first world champion in dressage and Franz Mairinger.
